Pack Like a Preaux + Free IV the Leaux Perfect Little Packing List
Packing the proper items is so essential to a trip. You definitely do not want to get caught slipping during a great vacation in a completely new place without some of your must haves. From my own experience, having a great packing list is a game changer! You can avoid some of the travel woes that I experienced by downloading the FREE “IV the Leaux Perfect Little Packing List” included in this blog.
Packing lists are a necessity for me, especially because I am a last minute packer and tend to pack a couple of hours before having to leave to go to the airport. So I am excited for the both of us because I get to share an extensive and thorough packing list that I can also use for myself, instead of rushing to create one in my Notes app.
The items on the packing list have been assigned to various categories for luggage organization purposes, so when you arrive at your destination everything is much easier to find. With this list, I want you all to learn from my beginner mistakes. I have gone on trips without one or more important items like contacts, pajamas, headphones, the local currency, and more. Accidentally leaving some items are obviously more frustrating than others, but the goal is to not leave anything. As you pack them, you can check them off with the “Perfect Little Packing List” and feel relieved that you have exactly what you need for the amazing trip that you have planned.
The categories include:
Accessories Hair Care
Beauty Health
Clothing International Travel
Disinfectants Shoes
Electronics & Entertainment Skin Care
Essentials Additional Items
After reviewing the packing list, you may wonder why you need to pack certain things, so let me explain. Traveling to new places, especially abroad, usually means lots of unfamiliarity with the culture, access to products, and lifestyle of the local citizens. Uncertainty of access to products is major! Forgetting something that is easy to find in your hometown, like menstrual products or contacts solution, can cause issues because the product may not be as easily accessible while traveling, due to the possibility of your destination lacking nearby stores to purchase what you need. Unfortunately, I know from experience. So do your best by dotting your i’s and crossing your t’s by clicking here to download the “IV the Leaux Perfect Little Packing List.”
Now that you have downloaded the list, you are ready to go, but how are you going to pack all of this into your carry-on, checked luggage, and personal item when flying? It’s pretty simple. Many of the beauty, disinfectant, hair care, health, and skin care products can be purchased in the travel size version. Once you place them in your travel toiletry bag and makeup bag, it makes packing and organizing your luggage much easier.
In addition to your toiletries and makeup, there’s plenty of clothes and shoes to pack. Here’s a little trick that has helped me pack 2.5 weeks worth of clothing in my luggage, which only included a carry-on and backpack: Fold all of your clothes. Then, roll each piece of clothing and neatly place them into your luggage. As far as your shoes, pack them like they are packed in the shoe box, in opposite directions with the soles facing outward.
More Packing Like A Preaux Tips:
To prevent scratches on your shoes while they are packed in your luggage, place each pair in a shoe bag or a plastic grocery bag.
When traveling in the airport, consider wearing your bulkiest clothing, shoes, and accessories that you want to bring with you like a large denim jacket, sneakers, jeans, and a hat. It really helps with freeing up space and weight in your luggage.
My last piece of advice regarding packing is for the new international travelers. Please do yourself a favor and buy an Adapter and Voltage Converter. This is important to purchase because other countries may use a higher/lower voltage to power electronics. Therefore, it is possible that if you plug an electronic into a higher voltage outlet that transmits 220v, instead of 110v like your hometown, you can fry it and I promise you nobody wants a damaged or unworkable electronic, like a phone or laptop, during their trip. The reason why you also need an adapter is because other countries outlets have different plug arrangements and shapes for the prongs that can be inserted. An adapter will account for that by allowing you to plug in your device regardless of the countries standard outlet configuration. Luckily, there are all-in-one adapters and voltage converters to prevent you from having to keep up with all of the different pieces. I would definitely recommend the all-in-one version for convenience sake because you will have less to pack and keep up with.
Thank you so much for reading this blog. I really hope this packing list makes preparing for your trip an enjoyable experience. In the comments below, let me know something that you absolutely can not travel without.
Happy Traveling!
